To God Be The Glory

Have you ever experience to expect that something will happen to your life, such as you expect for a promotion to your career, or high position in your company, or you are expecting to have a good life with your family, etc.

Even though we give our time to achieve it, we work hard to attain it, but even we did a lot of effort just to meet and get what we are expecting, but as days goes by it seems that most of our dreams are too far away into reality even we give our all effort and we invest our logistic.

The most prostrating time of our life is when we are crossing in the Season Of Waiting, this is the time that we almost loose our temper, our diligent, our hope and the worst things are we almost disappointed to the things happen.

We expect that everything will going to be fine, we expect that everything will went accordingly, but the result was negatively and not what we are expecting

Is not really disappointing? What should be my answer, well lets first defined what disappointment is.

Disappointment – is the feeling of dissatisfaction that follows the failure of expectations to manifest.

Being a human that would be the emotion we would feel. This is the feeling for almost 30 years I felt and keeping it inside my whole being. Until one Sunday morning I am attending a Sunday service, on that particular day, I found myself inside the worship house waiting at the Sunday service to begin and when the worship leader, lead the congregation into praise and worship, he begins his word something like this

“Have any one of you now crossing in the season of waiting, you know that being in this season is really prostrating, but keep your heart still to the lord because everything under the sun has its own season, has its own time, it will happen when the day for it will happen, and it will happen according to his planed’ and on hearing this word of encouragement I found myself that I am so thirst to the word of god, so I keep singing and praising and worshiping the name of the lord not knowingly that my tears are running down from my eyes.

Now when the minister leads the prayer I thought that god has spoken to me, he has something want to tell me, so I keep my ears open and I let the word of God be seeded in my heart. And here is what he tackles to his sermon.

Exodus 15:22-27

So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur: and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

And when they came out to marah, they could not drink of the water of marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was call marah.

And the people murmured against Moses, saying, what shall we drink,

And they cried out to the lord and the lords showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the water was made sweet: then he made for them a statue and the ordinance, and there he proves them.

And said if thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the lord thy god and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give his ears to his commandment and keep his statues, I will not put any diseases upon thee, which I brought upon Egyptian: for I am the lord that healeth thee:

And they come to Elim where were twelve wells of waters, and threescore and ten palm trees, and they encamped there by the water.

Looking at this scenario, you will see that the Israelites, Moses leads them from Egypt

They cross over the red sea and the amazing hand of god show to his people that he can do the impossible thing by dividing the sea and giving the ways for the Israelite’s to crossover. And after three days in the desert of shur they cannot find water, could you imagine that for three days without water, I might say its really hard not to drink water for three days, knowingly that they are in the middle of the desert, and from not to far where the camped they see water and they rejoice because at long last they have the chance to drink and refresh themselves but oppositely the things happen. When they taste the water it is bitter and no one can affords to drink it. So what will be the reaction of the people, naturally they will get disappointed.

They expect that when they see water, they can drink and refresh his tired body, but that was not the scenario happen, it’s really opposite to what they expect.

Now, going back to the word” Disappointment”, it is a feeling of dissatisfaction that follows the failure of expectation to manifest.

Many of us, or I make myself an example, if we expect something that will happen, even if we did everything just to make it happen but it doesn’t,

For many years of my life.,, This emotion, This feeling wrap my whole being, and it lead me to doubt to myself, it lead me to doubt to the Power of God, and if anyone doubted the Power of God, we never let Him (God) to work and move with our lives.

Now, why any one of us got a disappointment in life, here what I found out according to my experience, because, I always believe that I’ve been in control to whole situation, maybe it just because I exert an effort just to make everything happen, and I will never let God do it for me, I forgot that everything in this world would be in the hand of the God,

God let the disappointment happens to men because he wants us to teach this,

If we are in the dark, God want us to have a Vision

If we are in pain, God want us to have a Humility

If we are in the wilderness, God want us to find the Way

And if we are in waiting, God want us to have a Patience

And this is what God teach me this last Sunday, I am waiting at something to happen and I wait them for long time and it never happen yet, and I felt I am tired of waiting it, but God love me so much, he doesn’t want me to surrender, He is just teaching me to be more diligently waiting, with trust and hope, and in the right time, will come the fulfillment of his promises and I know in God’s time It will happen. Amen
